"Emmelie Blinder is a third-year mining engineering student at McGill University with a strong interest in sustainable development. Through internships in Canada’s mining and energy industries, she has gained valuable hands-on experience, further reinforcing her passion and dedication to the field. Being awarded the 2024-2025 SPE Canadian Education Fund General Scholarship is an immense honour for Emmelie, enabling her to complete her final year of studies without financial stress. This support is tremendously helpful to allow her to focus on her studies while continuing her active involvement in extracurricular activities, including serving on her department’s student council.
