"I am extremely grateful to receive the Stephan V. Benediktson & SPECEF Scholarship. This award makes a world of difference, not only by alleviating much of the financial stress of being a student, but also by providing strong support of my journey towards a career in the energy industry. It allows me to increase my focus on academics such as engineering projects and clubs, which is vital to my engineering development. It also allows me to make a more meaningful impact on others through my extracurricular activities which include piano teaching and hockey coaching. Receiving this award is not only valuable to me and my future in the energy industry because of its name and recognition but also because of personal support and encouragement it provides.
